The Hart Renovation is a continuation of a larger previous project. This renovation consisted of the master bathroom, master closet and some interior finish work to the guest bathroom and guest bedroom of this existing townhouse. The existing master bathroom was completely demolished to make way for a new and more contemporary bathroom. The existing tub and shower were completely removed and replaced with a walk in shower with ceramic tile floor and walls along with a full wall of Egyptian glass tile with built-in shower shelves carved into the wall and covered in tile to provide a sparkle and reflective quality at the bathroom’s end. Frameless glass encloses the shower and makes the bathroom feel as if it continues into the shower area. The goal of this renovation was to make this small bathroom feel larger and more reflective throughout. White ceramic tile covers the floor and also climbs up the wall to become a wainscoat ending wood trim. New stained maple, shaker style cabinets were installed with full storage columns and cabinets either side of the make up area with white fantasy quartz countertops. Clean lines, a play on light and dark materials and transparency help to make this bathroom a more open contemporary space.
The guest bathroom and guest bedroom went through an interior overhaul of color, new finishes and bright fabrics to become more reinvigorated and elegant spaces.
